Amber - More than just a pretty name
Formed over 45 million years ago, Baltic amber is an organic substance, a "fossil resin" produced by pine trees which grew in Northern Europe - from southern regions of the present day Scandinavia and nearby regions of the bed of the Baltic Sea. The climate became warmer and trees started to exude big amounts of resin. It ranges from bright yellow to dar yellow or brownish-orange, depending on its age and where it is found; in seldome cases it is either red or blue. It takes an electrical charge when it is rubbed and developes a pleasant resinous smell when it is burnt.
Baltic Amber's healing properties are valued by many cultures as a holistic health remedy.
How can amber help my child?
Amber acid has an influence on cellular energy balance, increases internal protective resources of organism. The approximate length of amber necklaces is 12.6 - 14.2 inches or 32 - 36 centimetres; bracelet/anklet 5.5-6.3 inches or 14-16 centimetres.
The string is knotted between each bead so should the necklacebreak - which it should not - all of the beads will not be scattered.
Baltic amber jewellery are made from high grade 100% Baltic Amber and , as a natural product; you can expect to find air bubbles and natural particles within the amber itself.
No two beads or necklaces are exactly alike. The colour of children necklaces, bracelets and anklets depends on the individual styles and can be purchased in white, honey, cognac or black.
They come as polished amber beads or raw amber beads. All have the same calming qualities. The length of necklace may vary accordingly to the size of the stones. As the beads are all natural Baltic amber the colour of the beads may vary and the shapeof the beads may vary.

- Do not allow the child to put jewellery into mouth
- Remove necklace at sleep time
- Do regular checks for wear and tear and reorder if necessary
Amber products have been sold throughout the world with the recommendation to use under supervision. According to EU Toy safety regulations EN-71-1 necklaces are not suitable to use as toys for children under 36 months. Our necklaces are not toys, please do not allow your children to play with or chew on them. Our children's jewellery must be worn under adult supervision. Under a European wide investigation into amber teething products some jurisdictions have changed the labelling requirements to "use over 36 months only". This is because of its composition of small parts and is not because of any question over the amber itself. In the absence of a comprehensive EU dedicated directive on this and with the new recommendations from the National Consumer Agency for amber necklaces it is recommended for use on children over 36 months.
